These articles are intended for your reading and informational enjoyment. They are also intended to stimulate your imagination. Some of the greatest rod building innovations have come from builders that were not afraid to push the limits of what was "conventional".   I have had the opportunity to build rods for people with physical impairments, but who wouldn't let those impairments interfere with their love of fishing.

In some of Terry's articles, you will find his suggestions for particular rods, for a given technique.  Use this information to aid you in your blank selections.

Ralph takes an in-depth look at deep hooked fish and discusses the scientific knowledge available, but not often applied.

I have included some articles on how I make custom rods truly custom.  For my rod building friends, I hope that you will find some interesting and useful information.  Check back often as new articles are sure to show up!

Everyone has their own preferences and there is one thing I've always believed in...if you enjoy fishing plastic worms more than you enjoy fishing crankbaits, then you're gonna find a lot more bass on a worm than you will on a crankbait.

The number one lure for producing bass in the summertime is the plastic worm.  Worms will definitely always be one of your best choices for fishing in the summertime.
